This month was about superfood information... now let us put them in use!
We would like to share with you 3 superfood smoothie recipes: sweet smoothie (kids will love it), green smoothie and one of my superfood smoothie (chocolate herbal super smoothie )
Nutrient-dense green superfood smoothie, "Power Plant"!
Ingredients:
2 teaspoons raw maca root powder
2 tablespoons dried goji berries
1 and 1/2 tablespoons raw hemp protein powder
1 teaspoon chia seeds
1 teaspoon green superfood powder
1 large Fuji apple, cored and chopped
1 cup pure water
2 tablespoons shelled raw hemp seeds
2 medium leaves of kale
Working with a high-speed blender like Vita-mix (http://www.vitamix.com and enter 06-005636 to get free shipping), blend together all of the ingredients till the kale, apple, hemp seeds, goji berries, and chia seeds have been completely broken down and the mixture is rich and creamy. Pour the mixture in a tall glass. Serve!
"Strawberry Shake"
Ingredients:
1 cup almond milk
1 cup ripe organic strawberries
6 small dates (or 4 medium dates, or 2 very large dates), pitted
1/2 of a large vanilla bean, or 1/4 teaspoon of raw ground vanilla powder
1 tablespoon raw coconut butter
Using a high-speed blender (Vita-mix, http://www.vitamix.com and key in 06-005636 to avail free shipping), first blend together the almond milk, dates, vanilla and coconut butter until rich and creamy. Then add the strawberries and blend again until the strawberries seeds have been completely incorporated. If you have a Vita-Mix or other type of powerful blender, the end result should be virtually seedless. Pour the mixture in a tall glass. Garnish the glass with a tiny strawberry. Serve!
If you would like to add more superfoods to this recipe, add some chia and hemp seeds and a few bee pollen. You can't really taste any of them but you will be getting all the benefits.
BeWellBuzz "Vegas Style" Chocolate Herbal Super Smoothie
Ingredients:
Two inches of warm tea
cup cashews
2 tbsp coconut oil
1 drop full of stevia
1 tbsp local raw honey
2 pinches of sea salt
1 tsp hemp seeds (optional)
Blend on high for 30 secs
Then add the following:
1.5 cups either Coconut Water or Nut Milk
1 tsp hemp protein powder (Sunwarrior)
1 tbsp Green Powder (HealthForce Vitamineral Greens)
1 tsp MSM
1 tsp shilajit
tsp ashwagandha
1 tsp local bee pollen
tsp mucuna
2 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp barley protein
1 tbsp tocotrienols
1 tbsp mesquite
1 tbsp maca
2-3 tbsp cacao
Big handful Goji Berries
Big handful of frozen berries
1 Banana
